  1. When I bought my ASIC miners, I really didn't anticipate how loud and how hot they run. After a few weeks it became clear that it wasn't realistic to run them unless you have a garage or an extra room, and that is when I decided to switch to cloud mining.

This is the cloud mining service I currently use:

This is how it works, you "buy" your mining capacity by the GH/s and it is delivered to you instantly. So if you buy 100GH/s right now, they will allocate 100GH/s in their datacenter to mine for you instantly. There are no contracts or ongoing fees – the price you pay covers everything for the lifetime of your GH/s.

If the price of the GH/s goes up, you can even sell your GH/s for a profit. But if your goal is to mine (and not to trade hardware) you can also sell your GH/s just before difficulty goes up (which depreciates all mining hardware) and then you can buy it again for cheaper later on 🙂

    I hope that helps!

I am also interested in making new Bitcoin friends in Vancouver, so feel free to message me, even if just to say "hi", and I can also help you get started with BTC if you don't know where to begin :)
