Blockchain.Info is down again and over 3 million Bitcoin users can’t access their Bitcoins or make purchases… or make withdraws. Blockchain.Info has been up and down over the past few days, leaving Blockchain.Info wallet users locked out of their accounts.
When trying to authenticate via the Blockchain.Info Wallet app, millions of users are receiving this cryptic response, “Error Invalid server response. Please check your internet connection.
We’re activating maintenance mode again to investigate a database issue. All funds and wallets are secure.

Many Bitcoin users are asking how could they possibly be locked out of their Bitcoins? The current problem with Blockchain.Info is eerily reminiscent of the nefarious Mt. Gox scandal where millions of Bitcoin users could not access their Bitcoins.
Many Bitcoin users are now discovering the difference between a centralized wallet and a decentralized wallet. Blockchain.Info’s wallet is centralized meaning that it requires Blockchain.info to be up and running properly in order to validate transactions and access your Bitcoins.
So, Blockchain Wallet users… isn’t it time you switched to a more reliable, decentralized Bitcoin wallet solution?
