Since it’s inception in 2009, the decentralized cryptocurrency better known as Bitcoin has been a source of excitement, controversy and intrigue. On February 18th, 2015 at Project: OWL in Toronto, we assembled a panel aimed at demystifying the world of Bitcoin – How does block chain technology work? Why is it this trend so disruptive? And what does it mean for the future of currency?

Our panelists included Gerald Cotten (Founder/CEO, QuadrigaCX), Anthony Di Iorio (Founder, Decentral), Alex Ianus (Software Engineer, Coinbase) and William Mougayar (Founder, Startup Management).

Moderated by Jeffrey Howard (Cofounder, Project: SPACES).

  1. If you guys want global acceptance why is it limited to an amount mined. I do not understand how you can service a world with limited amount. I dont see me using a gold coin either. how can you by a coffie with one coin worth 1500 canadian. What do you have .8725 bit coin change. This makes the coin usless to me unless it worth buying the smallest thing.Ya i want to buy a mojo that will be .00001 bit coin. Metric was made to make math easyier. Make a ton of bitcoin so its value can buy something small
