Set up Raspberry Pi to Mine BitCoin With the OS designed for it MinePeon.

Get SD formatter: https://www.sdcard.org/downloads/formatter_4/
Use this to format the SD card
Then download Minepeon
http://sourceforge.net/projects/minepeon/files/release/MinePeon-0.2.4.6-RaspberryPi.img.zip/download
Then use:
http://sourceforge.net/projects/win32diskimager/
to copy the ISO to the SD card.

The MinePeon OS will automatically set itself up and get going. If your ASICs are connected to the Pi. Red Fury’s etc are auto setup and it starts Mining.

To set-up find out the IP address then SSH into it using PuTTY:

  1. i inserted SD card with minepeon in it into my Raspberry Pi and I have got my IP number all ready, but then when I try to connect the Raspberry Pi to internet, but however its doesnt connect. Do you know how to fix this?

  2. ok I'm having some issues, can you help me install hexu for one. I'm stuck on step 3, I can't edit the cmdline.txt in the  /boot/ directory. I don't know the root password for minepeon to add dwc_otg.speed=1?  Please advise.

  3. I want to have my Raspberry Pi near my PC, which is not close to my router, so is bridging the connection from my PC for the raspberry pi a good idea? How would I find the IP address of the raspberry pi? Could I bridge the connection of another router to my computer so my rasberry pi could connect to that, which would bridge it over to the real router?

  4. Hey together,
i just want to ask if theres a way to mine Dogecoins with a scrypt-coins-asic. I think that this is not possible but I've heard some people who are thinking that it IS possible. So is it?
