Just to actually show you how silent this is – nothing compared to my 2011 rig with less power and much higher energy costs.

Controlled by a Raspberry Pi running MinePeon 0.2.2 with cgminer.

I know it’s not making me rich, but at least it’s fun and for now it’s paying my energy bill!

Full setup: Raspberry Pi rev. B, 16GB Class 10 SD Card, Minepeon 0.2.2, WiFi Dongle, 2x D-Link DUB-H7 USB 2.0 Hub, 2 old Enermax Computercase Fans connected to old cellphone chargers

  1. Do you think it is worth buying a few of those to make money or just save up for the big rigs. 🙂

I was planning to buy a few of these for starters then buy bigger rigs when money is able.

  3. I can't connect my miner to the corsair PSU! cables with 6 prongs but don't know which cables go with what? which 2 of the 4 that have 6 prongs actually go to the erupter blade miner and which go back to the psu. so confused. I was told I'd need a jumper something like that. Would be happy to donate for some effective help. Thank you.

  4. are you mining any other alternative coins?
Looking to start mining just for fun. any suggestions?
gonna start with  my  pc using ati 5450.  Should I get a few of those usb miners?
Start with other crypto currencies? thanks

  5. wow lol best not to go for that deal then. Was looking into mining Litecoins. Can Asic miners mine Litcoins or are they not compatible. I read they can't calculate the script or something. Well anyways thank you for the help its much apreciated.

  6. just use one of the calculators, like:

    evolyn . net
    mining . thegenesisblock . com

if you would start mining NOW (like literally in this moment), about 11 Bitcoins in November (minus electricity costs). But difficulty will rise to above 500 million in less than 2 days and going on like that revenue would half each month and you could not make more than 20 BTC at all with mining. That would be about 4500$ – you would most likely pay more for the miner.

  7. I was thinking of buying the TerraMiner IV – 2TH/s, Networked ASIC Miner that has 4 x 500 GH/s chips on it. i have calculated with the 2 TH/s (20000000) rate would give me $9000 in January 2014 and then it would keep going down further as you stated before.

Do you think my calculations are correct.
