This is my newb’s bitcoin mining rig. I’m running:

Raspberry Pi
3 ASICMiner Block Erupter USBs
DUB-H7 USB Hub
ArticBreeze USB Fan

Currently hashing at around 1Gh/s with around 1% HW error rate.

For those interested in doing their own Pi Miner, see Adafruit’s tutorial to get started:

  1. Just running Raspbian. Yeah. Those are 3 block erupters plugged into a Dlink DUB-H7 USB hub with an Arctic Breeze USB fan. Since I did the video I'm now running two BFL Jalapenos connected to this setup. If you're interested in doing your own Pi Miner, I just started with the Adafruit Pi Miner tutorial (I'll add the link to the description) and went from there with a few modifications (startup scripts, web UI, etc).

  2. Yeah. It's running cgminer. The LCD is just pulling from the cgminer API. I'll get another video posted here soon with my updated setup and more light. I started with just the 3 blockeruptors and recently added two BFL Jalapeno (5 and 7 Gh/s) devices. I'm currently hashing at a little over 13 Gh/s.I also recently added a simple web interface for stats using modified MinePeon Web UI code to get the stats I wanted.

  3. Could you make a video of with some lights on? Looking to build myself a PiMiner like yours…

I'm new to Raspberry Pi and mining and would like some visual of how it'll look and function.

    Thanks in adavnce!
